Boise - Northwest

Travel from downtown west along State Street takes you in the northwest area of the city, where urban, suburban and rural blend together a variety of cultures and styles. This area is home to many smaller subdivisions that have sprouted over the years, as well as retail and commercial areas. In the more northerly areas that abut the foothills, there remain vestiges of the areas agrarian past. Small horse ranches, garden centers, and hillside neighborhoods extend throughout the area toward Eagle’s city limits. State Street continues to take the city’s growth westward to accommodate the area’s increased popularity as a bridge between Eagle and downtown Boise.
