Neighborhoods
South of I-84 to the west of Boise, a number of communities have been growing from the agricultural roots in the region. From the area’s original farms and ranches have sprouted large residential lots and subdivisions with hilltop views and a semi-rural atmosphere. Also found nearby is one of Idaho’s notable treasures—the World Center for Birds of Prey Interpretive Center with live birds, research facilities, and educational programs centered on preserving the world’s declining bird population. The area is less densely populated than some other parts of the city, with easy interstate access as well as proximity to the mall and West Boise’s other commercial zones.
