Boise - West

Boise’s growth is geographically limited on the east, pushing it in a westerly direction. As it grows, the more rural areas to the west have evolved into several different areas of their own. Those areas that are closest to Interstate 84, the highway that connects Idaho to its neighboring states, have developed fastest. Within this area are many retail and commercial businesses—from doctors’ offices and corporate call centers to car dealerships and the Boise Towne Square Mall—as well as a wide range of apartments, condominiums, and single-family homes and communities. Accessibility to the interstate, employment opportunities, and affordable housing make this a very desirable area.
